Struggling with Low Frame Rates on My New PC

I've just finished building my first PC, and while it powers on and seems to be working, I'm experiencing terrible frame rates whenever I try to play games. The temperatures look normal at around 40 degrees Celsius. I'm at a loss for what's causing the issue, and I've already reinstalled the drivers. Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated!

Check your task manager while gaming to see if anything is maxing out. Also, confirm whether you have GPU hardware acceleration enabled. That's key for optimal performance.

Don't forget to install your chipset drivers! Sometimes, Windows might not get them right. Also, setting the RAM timings in BIOS might help. If this is a fresh Windows install, it could take a moment for everything to settle as it updates in the background.

Visit your motherboard manufacturer's site to download the appropriate drivers for it. Windows tries, but it doesn’t always nail it. Once that’s sorted, check your BIOS to set the RAM speed correctly, often done via an XMP profile.

Make sure your monitor is connected to the GPU directly rather than the motherboard's video port. Also, could you share your system specs? It helps to figure out what's wrong.
