I've been using SureMDM for managing my company's iPads and iPhones, but after a recent outage, all our devices became unmanaged. Now I have to physically reach each device to factory reset them, which is a pain. SureMDM's support has been terrible, and while I do like their product, I've lost trust in it. Since we're already using Microsoft 365, I'm considering moving to Intune. What do you think? Should I take this chance to switch, or stick with SureMDM?

How many devices are you managing? Knowing your M365 licenses could help figure out the best path to take here.
Wow, that's a serious issue! Outages are one thing, but losing management like that is a big problem. If you're already on M365 with Intune, give it a go. Just make sure to plan your enrollment scenarios ahead of time, like whether the devices will be used by one person or shared.
Intune can manage iOS and macOS, but I've found it pretty frustrating for Apple devices. While it's great for Windows, the experience with iPads and Macs isn't as smooth. If you have alternatives, I'd think twice about sticking with Intune.
I use Intune with iPads too, especially when paired with ASM. It seems to work well enough for most tasks.
Given that you're already using M365 and have the licenses, switching to Intune could be worth a shot. If it doesn’t work out, at least you can transition to another MDM without too much hassle later.
To be honest, Intune's management for iOS isn't super user-friendly. If your budget allows, consider using JAMF or Mosyle instead, as they handle Apple devices much better. If your needs are simple, though, Intune might suffice.
What exactly do you find lacking in Intune for iOS? We manage a lot of iPads here, and it works fine for us.
