I'm looking to upgrade from my older setup which has a GTX 1080, an i7-6700k processor, and 32GB of DDR4 3000MHz RAM, powered by a 700W PSU. I found a deal at Microcenter for a bundle that includes an RTX 5060, a Ryzen 5 9600X, an ASUS B650M-A Prime AX II motherboard, and 32GB of DDR5 6000MHz G.Skill RAM for $600 (or $650 after tax). Alternatively, there's a slightly pricier option with a 7600X3D and an ASUS B650-E TUF Gaming motherboard for about $735 after tax. I plan to keep using my current case and power supply. Is this upgrade a good choice?

Definitely! Either configuration will let you run games at 1080p 144Hz easily. Plus, if you’re considering a future GPU upgrade for 1440p or even 4K down the line, this setup is a solid foundation.
I’d double-check the RAM in the bundle because the 9600X version usually comes with only 16GB. This could make the deal less appealing compared to the 7600X3D setup. Plus, while the RTX 5060 is decent, it’s not the best compared to the options like 5060 Ti or 5070, which are pricier but offer much better performance.
I actually added another 16GB stick for $50, so now I have 32GB. That helps!
