Mac Mini or MacBook Pro: Which Should I Choose?

I'm currently a web and mobile app developer using a Windows laptop (Lenovo ThinkBook 15 G2) with an 11th generation Intel i5 processor, 16GB RAM, and two SSDs (256GB and 128GB). I've been using this laptop since 2021, but I'm looking to switch to a MacBook and I'm trying to decide between a Mac Mini and a MacBook Pro. My budget is around $1124. Can someone help me figure out which option would suit my needs best? If you recommend a MacBook Pro, which generation should I go for?

For your budget, the MacBook Pro with the M3 chip is definitely a better option. It's lightweight and perfect for traveling. Your old setup is okay, but the MacBook will give you a significant upgrade in performance for development tasks. Don’t forget to check the used markets for better deals!

Yeah, the M3 is perfect for what you're doing! It would make a huge difference in your workflow.

Honestly, your current laptop sounds pretty solid for web development. Unless you have specific performance needs, you might not even need to switch. But if you really want a Mac, I'd suggest looking into a refurbished MacBook Pro from Apple. It'll save you some cash without sacrificing quality! Just keep in mind what you're really going to do with it before making the jump.

Thanks for the feedback! I'm definitely considering refurbished options.
