How Do I Remove a Broken DP Cord Stuck in My PC?

So, my boyfriend accidentally broke the DisplayPort (DP) cord while trying to yank it out of the port too quickly, and now there's a piece stuck inside the PC. I'm wondering how to safely remove it, or if we should just leave it in there and use a different port for now. Will leaving it in cause any damage?

Honestly, those locking DP cables can be problematic! Glad you got it sorted out. Just a heads up, if you ever decide to use one again, just be a little more gentle while pulling them out to avoid this hassle.

You might also consider using some tweezers or a needle-nose plier if you can find a gap to grip it. Posting a picture could help get more specific advice on how to approach it, just in case.

Hey, I had a similar situation before! I managed to get the broken piece out by gently sandwiching it with the remaining pieces of the cord. It worked perfectly! Just be careful and make sure not to force anything too hard, you don't want to damage the port further.
