I'm planning to upgrade my graphics card from a GTX 1650 to an RTX 3060, but I'm unsure if I need to change my power supply unit (PSU). Currently, I have a 550W Thermaltake Litepower RGB PSU, and my build includes a Ryzen 5 5600X with a stock fan, an MSI B550-A Pro motherboard, 16GB (2x8GB) of Team Group Elite DDR4 2666MHz RAM, a 1TB HDD, a 1TB SSD, and three basic pre-built PC fans. I don't do any overclocking and mainly use my system for gaming and work. Based on my calculations, I think the PSU might be sufficient, but I don't want to take any chances since I can't afford to replace my PC if it breaks.

While your PSU might technically provide enough power (around 320W under load with the 3060), it's worth noting that it's not exactly the best quality. It's rated for 550W, but it only gives about 456W on the 12V rail, which is concerning. If it’s been in use for five years, consider upgrading eventually for long-term reliability.
You should be fine with your current PSU. I've seen recommendations that say 500W is the minimum for an RTX 3060, so your 550W should work. Just keep an eye on things as you upgrade!
I've had it for about five years. I got it with a pre-build and upgraded parts little by little. I know I need to upgrade my RAM next, though!
