Upgrading from RTX 3070: What GPU Should I Choose?

I'm looking to upgrade my GPU after using my RTX 3070 for about 3.5 years. I have a budget of around $950, but I plan to sell my current GPU for about $300, which means I'll effectively be spending around $650 on a new one. I'm considering the RTX 5070 Ti (MSI Inspire OC model) which costs around $930 with taxes, and the RX 9070 XT XFX Swift OC model, which is around $830. While the 9070 XT seems like good value, I tend to appreciate NVIDIA's exclusive features like RTX HDR and DLDSR that enhance the quality of older games. I plan to use the GPU primarily for 1440p 240Hz gaming and possibly 4K gaming in the future, along with some university work. Any recommendations? Should I go for one of these options or is there a better alternative out there?

For your needs, the RTX 5070 Ti sounds like the better option. It should give you a solid performance boost, especially for gaming at 1440p 240Hz.

Thank you! Do you know if the MSI Inspire OC is a reliable model, or is it considered lower quality? It’s the cheapest option here for around $900-$930.

Honestly, the 5070 Ti is definitely a solid pick. NVIDIA's software features really shine in terms of performance, especially with older games. If you can stretch a little, I'd say go for it!

I appreciate the feedback! Just to clarify, should I be concerned about the MSI Inspire OC's quality or is it generally okay?
