Why Can’t I Get 120Hz on My Triple Screen Setup After Upgrading to a 5080?

Hey everyone! I recently made the jump from a 3070ti to a 5080, and I'm running into a bit of a snag. Ever since the upgrade, I can't seem to get 120Hz working with my triple screen setup through Nvidia Surround. My old 3070ti had 2 HDMI and 2 DisplayPort (DP) connections, allowing me to run all three monitors in 1080p at 120Hz without issues.

Now, with the 5080, which only has 3 DP ports and 1 HDMI port, I bought an extra DP cable from UGREEN so that all three monitors could connect. However, every time I try to set up the triple display, I can only select 60Hz.

My main monitor is an MSI G273QF (which I think is a 1440p, 165Hz model), while the side monitors are MSI G271's that are 1080p and 144Hz. Of course, the main monitor is running at 1080p for this setup. I've attempted to make the refresh rates uniform, swapped cables around, and played with resolution settings, but nothing seems to work. I'm starting to wonder if I need new cables, but it worked perfectly before, so why the change? Do you think it's a driver issue or something else? Any help or tips would be appreciated! Fingers crossed!

It sounds like a classic driver issue to me. First off, make sure your GPU drivers are fully updated. Restart your PC afterward, and hopefully, that will do the trick! I have a triple monitor setup running at different refresh rates: 1440p at 180Hz, 1080p at 165Hz, and another one at 60Hz, and I haven't run into any problems using DisplayPort.

I actually held off updating my 5080 because I've heard there were some problems with Ghost of Tsushima, which I was replaying. But after some research, it looks like that’s been sorted out, so I'll update today. Just to clarify, with your setup using Nvidia Surround, do you still get capped at 60Hz even while running different Hz on individual monitors?
