Hey everyone! I'm building my first PC and I've got most of my components picked out, but I'm stuck on choosing a case. Here's what I have so far:
- Mainboard: MSI MAG X870 Tomahawk WiFi
- GPU: Gigabyte Radeon RX 9070 XT Gaming OC 16G
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D 4.7/5.2GHz
- CPU cooler: Noctua NH-D15 dual tower
- PSU: CORSAIR RM1000x (2024)
- RAM: 64 GB DDR5
I'm just missing a case and I've got a few questions:
1. How can I verify that all my components will fit in the case?
2. Should I go for a full tower or a mid tower? (I prefer the Noctua NH-D15 air cooler over an AIO water cooler)
3. What should I keep in mind for airflow?
4. If a mid tower fits, would a full tower be better or worse for airflow?

First off, it looks like you mistakenly listed your GPU twice instead of your CPU! Knowing your CPU helps with case and cooler choices since cooler height can vary. Also, make sure to check the height of your RAM as that affects airflow around the CPU cooler. Do you have a set budget or a certain look in mind for the case? That might narrow down your options!
Ah, my bad! The CPU is the AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D. I'm still figuring out the RAM brand, but I want everything to fit snugly without adjustments. I've got a budget of around $250 for the case, but I'm willing to go higher for something that's high-performance and looks good. I'm not into RGB, though; I like the Fractal Design North XL and the Lancool 217, but I’m unsure about the size.
