Hey everyone! I'm looking to upgrade my GPU since I've heard that nVidia will stop supporting the 10 series cards soon. My rig mainly serves as a gaming station, but I also use it for a budget home studio. Here are my specs:
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5700X3D
- Motherboard: ASUS PRIME X470-PRO
- RAM: 32GB DDR4 (2 x 16GB) at 3200 MHz - CAS 16
- Storage: 500GB Crucial P5 M.2 + 2TB Toshiba HDD + 256GB Crucial SATA SSD
- GPU: EVGA FTW 1070 Ti
- Power Supply: 600W Gold
- Monitors: 2x MSI G421 (24" 1080p at 144Hz)

I'm considering the Intel B580 for an upgrade, but I'd like to hear some opinions. What do you think?

If you're looking at GPUs, the RTX 5060 Ti 16GB or the RX 9060 XT 16GB would be better options than the B580. The 5060 Ti is a strong all-around card, but for gaming, the 9060 XT should work really well.

Just a heads up, the performance jump from your current card to the B580 might not be that significant. It might be better to hold out for a more powerful option.

The RX 9060 XT 16GB is a great option! It performs similarly to the RX 6800 XT and matches the RTX 4060 Ti in ray tracing performance too. Definitely worth considering!

I’d recommend getting an RX 9060 XT instead. It’s a solid choice for a performance upgrade!

'Dropping support' mostly means there won’t be driver optimizations for new games. Just some food for thought!

I know... I’ve been considering an upgrade anyway since I've had my GPU since 2018. This just gave me another reason to do it.

Thanks for the suggestions, everyone! Based on what I've heard here, I'll definitely look into getting the RX 9060 XT 16GB!
