Hey everyone! I'm trying to decide between upgrading my CPU and GPU setup. Should I stick with the 7800X3D paired with a 5070 Ti Windforce, or swap the CPU for a 9700X and overclock both the CPU and a potentially better GPU like the MSI 5070 Ti Gaming Trio? Which option do you think would provide better performance for the money in the long run, especially in terms of FPS?

Honestly, swapping to the 9700X would be a waste of time and money. Even at 1080p and 1440p, the 7800X3D significantly outperforms the 9700X. If you’re set on getting a 5070 Ti, definitely stick with the 7800X3D. AMD's likely to boost core counts in future cycles, so keeping it is a good bet for now!
Definitely stick with the X3D; it’s the best option on the table!
I think going with the 9700X and overclocking it is a good call. It could save some cash and the performance might be pretty close. You could always consider upgrading the CPU down the line when you need more power.
I'd go for the 7800X3D with any decent 5070 Ti, like the ASUS Prime or PNY models. Just be cautious with the Windforce, as some have had thermal issues with the thermal paste they use. But overall, that combo should serve you well!
I can only pick between the Gigabyte Windforce, Eagle, or Gaming, or the MSI Gaming Trio. What do you think?

I don’t have a setup yet. I’m just building and unsure if I should go for a better GPU to overclock with the 9700X or stick with the Windforce GPU and 7800X3D.
