I'm looking for ways to run Microsoft Office on Linux. I came across a project called Linoffice on GitHub, and I'm curious if anyone has experience with it. Is it reliable and safe to use?

Linoffice runs a virtual machine with Windows and Office installed, which you access via FreeRDP. If you want, you could set up your own Windows VM and just use RDP to connect to it. It seems like Linoffice is built off some of the work from the winapps project, which is worth checking out!

I don’t really get why it needs RDP though. Isn't there a more direct way to access Office?
