Hey everyone! I recently upgraded my setup with an AM4 Motherboard. I used to have an RTX 2060 paired with a Ryzen 5 3600, but now I've upgraded to an RTX 5070 along with a Ryzen 7 5800X. I'm a bit concerned about whether my CPU is bottlenecking my system, especially since I spent 900€ on these upgrades. Is my Ryzen 7 5800X holding back the performance of my new GPU?

It really depends on the games you're playing and the resolution you're targeting. If you're running games at 1080p, then yeah, you might see some bottlenecking. But if you're looking at 1440p or 4K, your setup should handle it better.
At 1080p, there could be a significant bottleneck, especially with games that are more demanding. For 1440p, it’s less likely to be an issue. So it really comes down to what frame rates you want. If you're aiming for 144Hz, you might notice some limits coming from the CPU.
I still want to focus on 1080p for now, but I’d love to try out AAA games soon.
If you can’t really tell a performance drop in your gaming experience, does it really matter? But yeah, a 5800X generally shouldn't hold back an RTX 5070 too much unless you’re playing something super CPU-intensive.
You’ve hit the nail on the head! It really hinges on your gaming and resolution. Usually, the 5800X should perform well with the 5070, but if you're looking for peak performance and have the means, considering a CPU upgrade could make a difference.
I'm mostly playing Valorant and GTA V at 1080p. I'm thinking about trying some AAA titles too, though.
