Is Fortnite the Cause of My PC Issues?

I launched Fortnite and noticed it was lagging really bad, so I eventually closed it. However, my PC has been slow and stuttering ever since. I've restarted it three times, but the performance hasn't improved. I've even uninstalled Fortnite, and right now, I'm just waiting to see if that helps. Does anyone have any advice on what to do next?

You might want to look at your storage drive. I had a similar experience where my drive was failing, which caused lagging and stuttering. It’s worth running a diagnostic to see if that’s the issue.

It’s probably not the game causing the problem. Have you checked your PC temperatures? If your CPU or GPU were overheating, that might have done some damage. It’s important to keep an eye on those when gaming, especially if you're pushing your machine hard.

I totally agree. I haven’t had overheating issues either, and it’s a good idea to monitor temps, just in case. But I’d also suggest checking your hardware to make sure nothing else is failing.
