I'm currently using an iPhone 16 but want to sometimes use a flip phone to cut down on my social media usage. I have an old 3G flip phone, but I'm open to getting a newer one if necessary. My carrier is Boost Mobile, and I have an eSIM. I'm wondering if I need to get an eSIM-compatible flip phone or if I can just use the SIM card from an old phone that had the same number. Ideally, I'd like to switch between the two phones easily. Any advice would be appreciated!

You're correct that two SIM cards can't share the same number simultaneously. A better option might be to set your iPhone to forward calls and texts to your flip phone when you're using it. That way, you'll still be reachable without needing two active phones.
You can’t have two phones with the same number active at the same time unless you're swapping the SIM cards back and forth. So, you'll need to keep changing them if you want to use both devices.
I was wondering that too! I really hope there’s a good way to manage it.
What about eSIM? Can you switch it over to a flip phone that's compatible? I'm thinking you might be able to do that.
