Hey everyone! I just installed Linux Mint 22.1 on an old laptop for my parents after a long break from Linux. The only thing I'm really missing now is a way to FaceTime them from my phone. Is there any software or workaround that would allow me to do this?

Just so you know, you can't use FaceTime directly on Linux since it's an Apple-only program. It might be worth asking Apple directly if they have plans for cross-platform support, but in the meantime, you'll have to look for other services.
Transitioning from Mac to Linux can be tricky! While FaceTime isn't available, consider replacing Apple services like iMessage with WhatsApp or other alternatives. It takes some adjustments, but you'll enjoy more freedom on Linux!
You might want to try using WhatsApp, which now supports video calls on desktop and web. It's not FaceTime, but it works pretty well for video chatting!
FaceTime is exclusive to Apple devices, so you won’t be able to run it natively on Linux. However, you can use alternatives like Jitsi or Google Meet that work through a web browser for video calls. They offer great functionality without being tied to specific operating systems.

Yeah, WhatsApp could be a solid option if you're looking for something simple and reliable for video calls!
