Why is my iPhone suddenly asking for a passcode and an unknown iCloud account?

I woke up today to find my iPhone asking for a passcode that I've never set up. I've always kept my phone unlocked and never used a passcode before. Now, I can't access my device at all. To make matters worse, when I tried to reset it, it asked for an iCloud account that I don't recognize. I've never shared this phone with anyone and haven't switched accounts, so I'm really confused about what's going on. Does anyone have any idea why this might be happening or what I can do to resolve it?

Honestly, this is kind of strange. Are you sure there’s no chance someone else could have accessed your phone? Like, did it ever get left unattended? It’s also worth considering if apps or settings got messed up without you realizing it. You might want to explore restoring the phone, but be cautious with that unknown iCloud account.

Lol, yeah, I never had a pin and no one touches it. The weirdest part is that I noticed it sent messages to a lot of people on my WhatsApp too. So sketchy!

It sounds like someone might have gained access to your phone and possibly set a passcode without your knowledge. Have you checked if anyone had physical access to it? That might explain the sudden lock. If you didn't set a passcode, that's definitely concerning. Make sure to check your iCloud settings and see if there's any sign of unusual activity.
