I recently got my hands on the Asus ROG G16 (model G615) and I'm experiencing a frustrating issue. The Q latch that secures the M.2 drive just won't budge for me. Is there a special way to turn it, or should it simply twist? Right now, neither the pre-installed M.2 latch nor the one in the other slot will move. Any advice or insights would be greatly appreciated!

It should just turn easily. Try turning it without any drive installed—sometimes, a drive not seated properly can cause issues. There are tons of videos demonstrating how these latches work, and they’re pretty straightforward. It might be a bit stiff the first time, but it shouldn't require much force.
Yeah, they can look a bit weird. Have you checked if there’s something blocking it, like a misplaced screw or cable? Just in case!
That’s exactly my problem—it’s taking a fair bit of force and I'm concerned it's gonna break something. I can’t even budge the other installed latch, so I’m unsure if I have a faulty device or if I need to remove the back panel. These latches look different from what I’ve seen before, especially since it’s the 2025 version.
