Why Does My Laptop Randomly Crash While Gaming?

I've got a Dell Precision 5530 with a 512 GB SSD, 32GB RAM, and an NVIDIA Quadro P1000. It's a second-hand laptop, and I've been noticing that it crashes occasionally. It just shuts down suddenly without any BSOD or malware detected. I've run system file checks and scanned with both Windows Defender and Malwarebytes with no issues found. The crashes have happened specifically while playing games like Need For Speed: Most Wanted and Fortnite, but it's been about three weeks since the last one. What could be causing this?

You might want to be cautious about using a Quadro GPU for gaming. They're really designed for professional use like rendering rather than gaming. Laptops in general can struggle with gaming because of the limited cooling systems. If you're serious about gaming, consider switching to a desktop setup for better cooling and performance.

I see your point, but it's not that you can't game on a Quadro card; it's just usually not the best option since they tend to be pricier and aren't optimized for gaming. Plus, cooling can still be an issue for any laptop.
