Why Can’t My Mac Air M3 Detect My Dell Dock Setup?

Hey everyone, I'm having trouble getting my Mac Air M3 to recognize my Dell dock, which I normally use for my old LG monitor, wired mouse, and keyboard that work great with my corporate Dell laptop. I thought it might be an issue with the monitor since it's not 4K, or possibly related to the HDMI cable or resolution settings. But I've tried some things and it's still not working. Any suggestions on how to fix this? Thanks!

Your post is a bit confusing. Are you looking to connect your Mac to another device, or are you referring to hooking it up with the Dell dock for peripherals? It seems like there's a mix-up with what 'workstation' means here. Are you using it to connect to the dock that your monitor and other devices are plugged into?

Oops, my bad! I meant the Dell dock; that’s where everything is connected.

Are you trying to connect to the monitor or just the PC? It sounds like your devices are acting weird.

Sometimes it does recognize the mouse and keyboard, but the monitor always displays 'no signal.'
