Is a 1000W PSU Overkill for My Build?

I'm putting together a new PC build and wanted to get some opinions. Here's my setup: NVIDIA 1660 and Intel i7 11700. I'm looking at a 1000W power supply that I found for $100 on Facebook Marketplace. Do you think 1000W is too much for my components, or would it be a good fit? I feel like $100 is a decent price for it, but I'm curious about the wattage.

Looks like you're building a nice rig! Just a heads-up, don't skimp on the PSU. Getting one secondhand can be risky since it's responsible for powering your entire setup. If it fails, it could take out other components too. I'd be cautious with that deal.

I hear you! The seller said it's about a year old. Should I just go for a brand new one instead? Would 850W be enough or should I stick with 1000W?
