Power Surge From Lightning – My PC Doesn’t Recognize the GPU Anymore

So, I was playing Fortnite with a friend when lightning struck outside my apartment, causing both of my monitors to black out. Even though my PC was still running and I could talk to my friend for a minute, I ended up having to restart my PC manually. After restarting, my main monitor came on, but my second monitor wouldn't display anything at all, and I suspect the HDMI got damaged. Now, while my GPU lights up and I can watch YouTube without issue, I get errors when trying to play Valorant or Fortnite, or even when I open AMD Adrenaline. Is there anyone who knows how to fix this?

You might want to try using DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller) to completely uninstall your GPU drivers, then reinstall them cleanly. If possible, test your GPU in another system to see if it works there. That would help pinpoint the problem.

Thanks! I’ll give that a shot.
