I'm planning to buy the RTX 5070 this weekend for around $600, which might stretch to about $650 after taxes. I'm aware that this is a decent investment, but I want to know if it's really worth the price. I'll be pairing it with a Ryzen 7 7800X3D processor and 32 GB of DDR5 RAM. My main use will be gaming, and I don't plan to upgrade for at least the next five years. Are there any alternative graphics cards you would recommend?

The 5070 is a capable card for 1440p and 1080p gaming. I'd recommend checking out some gameplay videos to see if the performance aligns with what you're expecting. It sounds like it'll fit really well with your setup!
If you're not a fan of RGB and want a great alternative, check out the Power Color 9070 Hellhound. It's less flashy and often outperforms the 5070 in several areas.
I appreciate the suggestion! I was hesitant about AMD GPUs since I'm not too familiar with their driver setups, but I'll reconsider.
Thanks for the tip! I'll definitely look up some gameplay at 1440p since that’s my primary resolution.
