Hey everyone! I recently switched from Windows 10 to Linux Mint, and while I'm enjoying the new system, I'm running into some problems with Steam. Specifically, certain games aren't launching for me. My Steam library is on a separate hard drive, and every time I restart my PC or Steam, I have to select that hard drive as the default one all over again, even though I've set it up already.
I've ensured that Steam is set to use Proton for games that don't natively support Linux and have checked for any missing or corrupted files. Out of four games I tested, only one (Haste) works fine, but the others—Dishonored 2, MegaMan Zero/ZX Collection, and Soul Reaver 1+2—aren't starting at all. Steam claims they launch, but then they revert back to showing no game running. I could use some help troubleshooting this!

Have you tried using the migration page? There are some great tips for setting up Steam on Linux that might help with your issues. Just be cautious with third-party repositories and always verify your ISO checksums!
You should check the filesystem type on that other drive. Proton can be finicky with NTFS, so it might help to ensure it's mounted correctly in /etc/fstab. If you need help with that, let me know!
How do I find out the filesystem type of the drive? I've been using it for Steam long before I switched to Linux, so I hope that's useful.
