Hey everyone, I've been having a rough time with Windows 11 wanting me to install the 24H2 update. The last time I tried, it messed with my Windows key, and I had to get tech support involved to sort it out. Now, when I open any apps or even Task Manager, everything just freezes or crashes. I went back to the previous version, and my PC seems fine now. So, I'm curious: can I get the 24H2 update to work properly on my machine? If not, is it bad if I skip this update? Will missing it prevent me from getting future updates?

You can totally skip that update for now. Just keep in mind that eventually, Windows will push it on you. But for the time being, you'll be fine without it!
Good news! Currently, if you're still on the 23H2 version, you're still getting security updates until November 11. After that, skipping 24H2 could leave you missing important security fixes. So, it’s fine to hold off for now, but do check for updates regularly!
The 24H2 update is actually a big feature update. You can avoid it for a while and still get your regular security patches and quality updates. Just remember that eventually, it will be required, so you might want to keep an eye on it.
That's a relief to hear. I hate when updates cause more problems.
