Is that popping noise from my new PSU something I should worry about?

I recently upgraded my power supply unit to a Corsair RM750e, and everything seems set up correctly. However, when I turn off my PC, I hear a popping noise. Is this a common issue, and should I be concerned? Is there a way to fix it?

I'd say you could look into exchanging it just to be safe. A faulty capacitor or contact could cause issues, so getting it checked or replaced might be a good idea if it keeps bothering you.

If you want peace of mind, you could always take it to a local PC shop for them to check it out. I had a similar clicking noise with an old Corsair PSU, and it turned out just fine, so you might be okay too.

If you're feeling uneasy about it, definitely consider the RMA option. It's better to be safe, especially since your PC is important for school! Hope you get it sorted out!

That sound is actually pretty normal for the Corsair RMe series! It typically makes a clicking noise when it switches on and off due to the relay on the 12v rail. As long as your PSU is running normally otherwise, it's nothing to worry about.
