I'm a new Linux user, just about three months in. I switched from Ubuntu to Fedora and have finally settled on Arch Linux. My Lenovo ThinkPad L13 Yoga (21FR) has been slow to wake from suspend, taking around 15 seconds, despite the system booting up quickly. Here's what I've tried so far:
- Checked the supported sleep states and found only s2idle (s0ix) is available.
- Searched through the Arch Wiki for solutions.
- Checked the log using journalctl but didn't find anything unusual.
- The Arch installation is minimal with only the base packages and the kernel installed.
- I also asked in the ThinkPad forum and Linux DC-Server but didn't get any useful tips.
Any help you can offer would be greatly appreciated!

When you open the lid, does the laptop just sit there for 15 seconds doing nothing, or does it seem like it’s actually processing something, like the screen flickering or the UI loading? Can you share the specs of your machine? That might help diagnose the issue better!
It just shows the login window, but everything freezes – both mouse and keyboard. Here are my specs:
- 32 GiB RAM (with 30.14 GiB available)
- AMD Ryzen 7 PRO 7730U CPU
- Graphics handled by amdgpu.
Let me know if you need more info!
