Help! My iPad Air 2 Won’t Turn On After Months of Not Using It

I have an old iPad Air 2 that hasn't been turned on for a while, like several months. It shows the low battery icon and keeps telling me to plug it in. I've had it plugged in for about 20-30 minutes, but it still won't turn on. Could it just be really slow to charge, or is this a sign that it won't turn on at all?

Since it hasn't been used in a while, the battery might be completely drained. Leave it plugged in for a few hours and then do a soft reset. If that doesn’t work, connect it to iTunes or Finder and check if it's recognized.

If your iPad's battery has fallen to a critical level, it can trigger a safety feature that prevents it from charging. You should see if it's giving any signs of charging. Sometimes, it might just trickle charge for a bit. Try unplugging it for a few seconds and plugging it back in repeatedly – this can sometimes help. Just double-check that your charger is working too!

I had a similar problem! I tried the plug and unplug trick for a while and even left it charging overnight – apparently, it did the trick because it started charging normally. Good luck!
