Hey everyone! I'm hoping to get some advice from anyone who's good with tech stuff. I've got this old Compaq Presario X1400 laptop that I used to play games on as a kid, and it holds so many memories for me. Recently, I found it again, but the battery is completely dead, and I can't get it to turn on. I've removed the hard drive (which is a Fujitsu MHT2040AT) hoping to find an adaptor or conversion kit to access the files, but I've had no luck so far. The pins on it are quite unique (check out the link for a pic). Is there any way I can still retrieve the files from this drive? I'd really appreciate any help! Thanks in advance!

You might want to check if you can disassemble the drive further. A lot of drives from that era use standard IDE connectors, so it could be possible to get it working with the right adapter. Just be careful when handling it!
I tried pulling it out of its case, but I'm worried about breaking something. It feels pretty stuck, and I don't want to damage it more. Have you had any luck finding an adapter?
