I'm building my first gaming PC and I'm currently considering using an MSI Pro B650M-A WiFi motherboard with a Patriot Viper Venom 6000 MHz CL30 RAM (2x16GB). However, I'm unsure if these components will be compatible, especially since I couldn't find the RAM on the QVL, and I've heard that AM5 motherboards might be picky about RAM. This particular RAM is the only one available in my area that meets both the speed and timing requirements. Any advice on whether it's risky to choose RAM that's not on the QVL?

You should be fine! Brands like Patriot, Corsair, and G.Skill usually rebrand Hynix memory, which is top-notch for DDR5. Hynix is known for making some of the best RAM out there. So even if it’s not on the QVL, it’s likely to work well with your setup.
I'm done with MSI after having a bad experience with one of their motherboards. The RMA process took ages for me, and I've decided to switch to another brand. Just sharing my experience so you know!
You’ll probably be okay, but just make sure you have the option to return it if things don't go smoothly. If it doesn’t work immediately, you can always downclock the RAM to stabilize it. Also, remember that QVL lists aren’t comprehensive, so it’s not the end of the world if your RAM isn't listed.
