I'm trying to figure out if I can use an RTX 3050 6GB with my Acer Aspire TC 1760, which has a 300 watt power supply that can't be upgraded. I have an Intel i5-12400 processor and I'm running a 1440p 120Hz monitor along with some peripherals like a keyboard, mouse, microphone, and Bluetooth AirPods. I'm a bit concerned about hitting the limit since I don't want to deal with the hassle of returning the GPU if it crashes. I've seen it for $160 at Microcenter and really want to know if I can make it work safely.

It depends on your overall setup. I have a 3050 with a 4th Gen i5, and I'm running it on a 180W supply without any real issues. Just keep an eye on your temps and performance and you should be fine!
The RTX 3050 is around 70 watts, so you might be on the edge with a 300 watt PSU. If your power supply isn't enough, it could lead to issues, especially under load. Just a heads-up!
Yeah, the recommended specs often suggest 450W just to be safe.
That does make me feel better, though it’s worth noting how much newer your CPU is.
