Hey everyone! I'm in the process of building a PC for my friend and I'm unsure if the specs I've picked out are good. I know there might be a little bit of a bottleneck, but I want to keep the cost close to my limit of $2,500. Here are the specs I've chosen:

- Case: Antec C8 ATX Full Tower Case
- Motherboard: Asus TUF GAMING B850-PLUS WIFI ATX AM5
- CPU: Ryzen 7 7800X3D
- CPU Cooler: ARCTIC Liquid Freezer III Pro
- RAM: Corsair Vengeance 2x 16GB DDR5
- SSD: Samsung 990 EVO 2TB M.2-2280
- GPU: RTX 5070
- PSU: MSI MAG A850GL 850W

Are these specs a good choice?

Have you considered a 9700x build? It’s more efficient, produces less heat and noise, and offers similar performance in games. Plus, it could save you $50-$100. I’d also recommend trying to get the 5070 Ti for its extra VRAM; that's becoming a more crucial factor for graphics cards nowadays. Overall, your build looks solid, though!

I can't find the 9700x on pcpartpicker, but I did find the 5070 Ti. Do you know a good bottleneck tester site? The one I use requires the resolution, which isn’t set yet since my friend hasn’t picked a monitor.

You might be able to get a 5070 Ti if you spend a bit more wisely. Just curious, are you based in the US? That could affect pricing.

Actually, I’m in Switzerland.

Honestly, I’m confused about the budget here. You can get a similar build for around $1,500. Where’s all that extra money going?

I'm not the best with PC parts. My friend said the budget is $2,500, which is about 2,000 CHF in Switzerland. I thought it seemed high too!
