I've noticed that my Ryzen 7700X CPU temperatures reach about 80°C when I'm gaming. They also fluctuate between 45-56°C but sometimes spike to 70°C. Is this typical for this CPU, or should I be concerned?

I understand the confusion, especially if you're used to a cooler CPU. Keep in mind that different CPUs have different thermal profiles, so just because your previous chip ran cooler doesn’t mean this one should too. It's normal for the 7700X to run hot. Don't sweat it!
Those temps are generally safe for a Ryzen 7700X. It's designed to handle up to 95°C, so you're within a comfortable range. No need to stress too much about it!
Yeah, that makes sense! Just wasn't sure what to expect with this one.
