I've been hearing mixed reports about the 7800X3D's temperatures; some people find it runs too hot, while others say it's relatively cool. I'm curious if a Peerless Assassin 120 will be sufficient for cooling this CPU. Are there specific things I should be aware of when using it? I've also heard that chipset driver issues can cause overheating. Any insights on this would be appreciated!

I've been using a regular Deepcool AK620, and it keeps the 7800X3D cool enough. Any Thermalright models like the PA120 or Spirit are solid choices too. Just make sure your case has good airflow!
In gaming loads, the 7800X3D typically draws around 70 watts, and during heavy stress tests, it can peak at about 120 watts. A budget single tower cooler should work just fine, and the Peerless Assassin 120 should easily handle it since it's more powerful than what you'll need. No problems there!
What do you mean by 'cool enough'? Is there a max temperature you think we should worry about?
