How Can I Tell if I Installed a Dangerous LibreWolf Package?

Hey everyone, I'm pretty new to Arch Linux and I've heard some troubling news. There was a report that the LibreWolf package named 'librewolf-fix-bin' may have been infected with a RAT (Remote Access Trojan). I'm a bit worried because I was installing and uninstalling various browsers while setting up my Arch system, including LibreWolf. I want to find out if I might have accidentally installed this suspicious package at any point. I ran the command 'history | grep yay' and here's what came up: it shows that I installed LibreWolf, but I'm unsure about further implications. Can anyone help me figure out if I'm safe or if there's a risk?

Honestly, wiping everything and reinstalling is the best move. Even if you didn't grab that package, it’s not worth the risk of having something malicious on your machine.

It's a good idea to assume you might be infected and just do a complete reinstall of your system. Make sure to research what that RAT was capable of just to be safe.

From what you’ve shared, it looks like you didn’t install the 'librewolf-fix-bin', so you should be fine. Just to be on the safe side, I’d still recommend switching to another distro. Fedora could be a great choice!
