Why Won’t Google Docs Let Me Create New Documents?

I'm having trouble creating new documents in Google Docs because it keeps telling me that my storage is full. I've already deleted some files from my Google Drive to free up space, and I've also updated my Google files, but I'm still facing the same issue. What else can I do to fix this?

Have you tried emptying your trash? Sometimes the deleted files still count against your storage until you do that. Make sure to give it a bit of time to reflect the changes too!

I cleared out the trash already. But I noticed that my phone is supposed to have unlimited storage, so I’m a bit confused.

Remember that Google shares storage across all its apps. Open the Drive app and check the storage section to see what's actually taking up space. It might surprise you!
