Hey everyone! I'm looking to build a gaming PC for my son and could really use your advice. He loves playing games like Fortnite and Warzone and wants to achieve high FPS for the best experience. He also edits videos for TikTok using After Effects, creating clips with effects and transitions.
I'm not very knowledgeable about PCs, but I'm willing to spend between $1500 and $2000 to get him something solid that will last about 4-5 years. Could anyone suggest what parts I should consider or even provide a complete build list? Thanks so much for your help!

Before diving into parts, could you let us know which country you're in? That might help with availability and pricing!
Definitely check out PC Part Picker; it’s a great resource for finding compatible parts. Right now, many people are leaning towards AMD for performance, especially in gaming. I’d recommend looking there first to get an idea of what you can build within your budget.
Thanks a lot! I hadn’t heard of PC Part Picker before, but I’ll check it out to find some good components for my son’s PC!
I’m currently in the United States, but originally from Bosnia. Thanks for asking!
