Flat vs. Curved 27″ Sansui Monitors for My New PC Build

I'm wrapping up my first PC build and I'm stuck trying to choose between two Sansui 27-inch 180Hz monitors—one is curved (1500R) and the other is flat. Both monitors are priced at $149.99, so that's not a concern. I'll be using the monitor for a mix of college tasks (like Canvas, writing, and general work) as well as some casual gaming with my PS5 and Steam horror games with friends, plus some Roblox. I have no experience with curved monitors, so I'm unsure if it's genuinely beneficial or just a gimmick at this size. Any guidance would be super helpful!

I find curved monitors a bit gimmicky unless they're ultra-wide. For your use case, the differences between the two monitors might not be significant, so I wouldn't stress too much about the choice. The flat one could be a solid option, especially if you don't have experience with a curved screen.

So should I just go for the flat one?
