Hey everyone! I'm in a bit of a bind and could really use some advice. I'm trying to reset and use my old iPad, but it's stuck on the Activation Lock screen because Find My iPad is still enabled. I've forgotten my Apple ID password, and unfortunately, the account is linked to an old phone number and email that I can't access anymore. I reached out to Apple Support, and they informed me that my account recovery is now locked in for 26 days after too many failed login attempts, and there's no way to speed up this process. To make matters worse, I don't have the original receipt since it's been ages. I urgently need this iPad for work tasks, but right now, it's just sitting useless. Has anyone faced a similar situation and found a way to expedite recovery or work around this issue if they know the account but can't verify it right now? Just a heads up, it's a 9th generation iPad. Any help would really mean a lot!

Waiting seems to be the only option right now. Also, maybe check if your workplace can lend you a device in the meantime?
Try going to iforgot.apple.com to check if you can provide any additional details that might help with account recovery, like an old payment method. But if you really need it for work, it might be worth getting a new iPad and setting it up with a new account until you get your old one back.
Honestly, just hang tight and wait it out. There’s no way to rush this process. Maybe consider getting a new iPad if it's super urgent and returning it once you regain access?
Unfortunately, without the receipt, it’s going to be tough. Your best bet is to try and somehow recover your old phone number or remember your Apple ID password. Apple Support really can’t do anything to speed this up, so I feel for you, man.
