How can I find a 50 series GPU at MSRP?

I'm struggling to purchase a 50 series GPU at MSRP. I've heard stories of people "getting lucky" or being "patient," but I'm not having any luck at all. I'm located in the US and my recent attempt was for a 5070 Ti listed on Hotstock. I waited hours, only for it to sell out in seconds! Despite receiving numerous alerts, none of them led to a successful purchase. How do people secure these GPUs so easily? I could really use some suggestions on where to look, as it seems tough to find solid advice online. The best lead I found was Hotstock, but I also learned that the Newegg Shuffle hasn't been working since last month. Any tips would be greatly appreciated!

You might want to sign up for Nvidia’s Verified Priority Access. I joined the waitlist and after about a month, I got my number called for a 5080! Paid MSRP and it shipped fast.

I really didn’t know about that! I’ll check it out now, thanks for the tip!

Honestly, just go for a 4090. The second-hand market has dropped significantly since people found out that the 5070 performs similarly!

Apps or Discord servers that notify you as soon as cards come in stock are a lifesaver. I used Stock Checker to grab a 5090, and it arrived on time!

I’ve been trying Hotstock, but it hasn't worked for me yet. I think I need to improve my internet speed or reaction time! I'll definitely look into Discord alerts.

I signed up for a waitlist with B&H and got an email with a link to buy at MSRP within two weeks. It worked for both a 5070 and 5080 for me!

B&H seems to often sell at MSRP. I’ll try to get on that waitlist. Thanks! 🙂

I’m in the same boat, can’t find any 16GB cards at MSRP either. An in-stock alert app has been a bit useful, but still no luck in snagging one.

I hear you! I ended up paying $1500 for a 5080 Gigabyte Gaming OC. My hopes of getting an email from Nvidia for MSRP are pretty low! I'd say your best bet is checking places like Best Buy regularly.

Yeah, I'm thinking of just buying a 5070 Ti for +$220 over MSRP before any trade tariffs hit. At this point, is it even worth the wait?

Same here, I spent $1,529.99 on a MSI Inspire 3x. It feels like waiting for a miracle!.
