Hey everyone! I'm planning to upgrade my PC and would love any tips you might have. Here's what I'm currently keeping for the new build:
- AMD Ryzen 7 5700X
- 24.0 GB RAM
- NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070
- Samsung SSD 980 PRO 1TB
- A secondary SSD (SSD0480S00), but I rarely use it because it's slow.
For the upgrades, I'm adding the following components:
- Gigabyte X V2 ATX motherboard
- Xilence XN240 cooler
- ID-COOLING SE-214-X (I need better cooling since my old one is outdated)
- Kingston FURY Beast 32 GB 3200 MHz DDR4 CL16 (1x32)
I also plan on getting a new PC case and some fans. Let me know if there's anything I did wrong, and I'm open to suggestions about parts or if you need more context! Oh, and I would like to be able to upgrade the GPU in the near future.

Make sure to use RAM in pairs to take advantage of dual-channel mode! Right now, it looks like you’re only set up for single-channel with the current configuration.
I see! I’m currently using a mix of an 8GB stick and a 16GB stick on an old motherboard. Would that still affect performance a lot if I keep them both?
