Should I get an RTX 5070, RX 9070, or wait for the RTX 5070 Super?

Hey everyone! I just finished building my PC, and everything's going great. The only part I haven't upgraded yet is the GPU—I'm still using an old GTX 1660 with 6GB of VRAM from my previous pre-built system. I held off on a new GPU because prices were really high, but now I've noticed they're starting to come down. The RTX 5070 is now available for around €540/$540, and I've also seen the RX 9070 drop to about €620/$620. I know the RX 9070 outperforms the RTX 5070 in gaming and has better VRAM, but I'm also interested in some AI projects, and NVIDIA's features like DLSS4 seem more compelling since they have broader support compared to FSR4. My main concern with the RTX 5070 is its lower VRAM. So, what do you think? Should I buy one of these GPUs now or wait for the rumored RTX 5070 Super?

That's a tough choice! If you can wait for the RTX 5070 Super, it might be worth it, especially if it improves on the VRAM and performance. But just keep in mind whether your current GPU can handle it in the meantime. The GTX 1660 is getting a bit long in the tooth for 1440p gaming, so if you need a performance boost sooner, the RTX 5070 could be a good pick now!

True, but do consider what you'll be playing. If you're going to dive into heavier AI workloads, the RX 9070's extra VRAM might come in handy.

The RTX 5070 is a solid option, especially with its price dropping. However, if you can stretch your budget a bit, consider the RX 9070. It might be higher in price, but the performance should justify it for gaming, plus you get that extra VRAM, which can be helpful in the long run. Just keep an eye out for deals!
