Hey everyone! I'm planning to upgrade from my 2019 MacBook Pro 13" with Intel chip to a 15" MacBook Air with the new M4 chip. I've heard opinions that it's better to start fresh instead of using the Mac Migration Assistant and just move over my documents. For those who have transitioned from Intel to Apple silicon, how smooth was the Mac Migration process for you? Also, do you think switching from a MacBook Pro to an Air will complicate things?

I used Migration Assistant when I switched from a 2013 MacBook Air to a 2023 MacBook Pro, and it went without a hitch! So, I’d say it’s definitely doable. It should handle your regular files and documents well, just make sure to follow the prompts.
That’s good to know! Does it keep your folders organized too, or is it just the files?
