I have a pretty high-end system with an RTX 5070ti, Ryzen 7 9800x3d, ROG X870e-e motherboard, and a Samsung 990 Pro 2TB SSD paired with a 2TB Seagate Barracuda HDD. Despite these specs, loading into games like Valorant takes a long time, and I also notice that my in-game download speed feels sluggish. I suspect my download speed might be the problem, but I'm not confident about troubleshooting it. How can I check if there's an issue with my HDD? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

First off, do you know your current download speed? It's a good starting point. Also, make sure your games are installed on the SSD, not the HDD, since the SSD is considerably faster. To check your drives' health, you can run CHKDSK, which might help pinpoint any issues. If your games are on the HDD, that's likely where the slowdown is coming from!
If you're still unsure about the speed, try downloading a large file, like a 10GB one, from a reliable source to the HDD. This can help you assess if the download rate is indeed slow or if there's another underlying issue with your network.
Oh man, I totally made that mistake too! Moving your games to the SSD made a huge difference for me.
