I'm curious if anyone here has fully disabled LLMNR in their environment. What were your experiences and any tips on doing this effectively?

I did the same thing and honestly didn't notice any changes in functionality, which is a plus!

When I took over the network, one of my first actions was to disable LLMNR. It annoyed some of the field techs who were relying on it for some outdated practices, but it was necessary to enforce the proper protocols instead.

That’s interesting! How exactly were they using it before you disabled it?

Yes, it's something all pen testers suggest. Disabling it can really tighten up network security.

Absolutely! I disabled LLMNR throughout the network using Group Policy. It streamlined our network a lot.
