My iPhone X Won’t Turn On After Overheating—Any Tips?

Hey everyone! I have an old iPhone X that charges up to 100%, but the battery doesn't last long anymore. It recently died quickly while I had it in my bag on a really hot day. Now, after charging it for over two hours, it still won't turn on. The battery charging icon is still showing on the dark screen, but nothing happens. Is there anything I can try to fix this?

If the overheating was severe, it might be time to consider a battery replacement or even a new phone down the line. But like you said, since you’re on holiday, just make sure to let it cool off first before trying to charge it again.

Yeah, I get that! I’m just hoping this is a minor glitch. I'll take your advice to let it rest.

It sounds like your phone might have overheated. Try unplugging it and letting it cool down for a few hours. If the battery's really shot, keep in mind that trying too hard to turn it on could lead to problems. Just give it some time to chill out!

Thanks for the advice! I’ll unplug it and let it cool down. I’ll try charging it again tomorrow.
