Hi everyone! I'm helping my cousin dive into the world of PC gaming for the first time. He's a huge fan of racing games like Forza Horizon, Assetto Corsa, and Need for Speed. With graphics and smooth gameplay being super important to him, he's aiming for a setup that outshines his PS5. He's got a budget of around $1,200 USD but is open to spending a little more if it means better performance. He's set on using a specific case he loves (you can check it out [here](https://pcpartpicker.com/product/MFNYcf/antec-c5-argb-atx-mid-tower-case-0-761345-10033-5)).
What I need help with is putting together a full PC build that includes everything he'll need (CPU, GPU, RAM, SSD, PSU, etc.) and a monitor. I'm not sure if 1080p will cut it or if going higher is the way to go. We're focusing on excellent performance in racing sims with great visuals and stable frame rates. Also, the Ethernet connection is planned, so Wi-Fi isn't a must, though he wouldn't mind having Wi-Fi capability as a bonus. Any suggestions for a solid parts list or build ideas that give the best bang for the buck would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

I would recommend sticking with a high-refresh 1080p monitor for better performance in racing games. If he wants to get a flat screen rather than a curved one, maybe look at something like the Dell S2719DGF. It's 144Hz and great for fast-paced games! For the PC components, ensure he doesn't skimp on the GPU since racing games can be really GPU-intensive.
I put together a great build for your cousin! Check it out: [PCPartPicker Part List](https://pcpartpicker.com/list/F8nPqH). Here’s a quick rundown:
- **CPU**: AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D for awesome performance in racing games.
- **GPU**: MSI GAMING TRIO OC GeForce RTX 5060 to handle those graphics smoothly.
- **RAM**: Corsair Vengeance RGB 32GB, perfect for multitasking.
- **Storage**: Crucial P3 Plus 1TB NVMe SSD for quick load times.
- **Monitor**: AOC C27G2Z, it’s a 27" 1080p 240 Hz curved monitor which should give a fantastic experience.
The total is just over $1500, but it'll deliver a stunning gaming experience! Let me know if you have any questions!
Awesome build! Just a note, if he's aiming for higher graphics settings, he might want to consider a 1440p monitor instead, but it could stretch the budget a bit. Keep that in mind!
