Is $180 a fair price for a used Gigabyte RX 6600 XT?

Hey everyone! My friend is looking to sell his Gigabyte RX 6600 XT with 8GB of VRAM for $180. Right now, I have a Sapphire Pulse 5600 XT with 6GB of VRAM. The RX 6600 XT is lightly used, previously owned by someone who mined Bitcoin but didn't use it much. It doesn't have the original box, but it's in a protective plastic sleeve. I'm thinking this price is a bit steep, but I'm not sure. What do you all think?

Last I checked, a new RX 6600 XT goes for around $220. For $180, that's too high for a used one, especially since there are better options out there. Consider saving up for something like the 9060 XT instead!

Thanks for that suggestion! I looked up the 9060 XT and it looks worth saving for. Appreciate it!

It really depends on your local market. I've seen used 6600 XTs going for about €150-€180 in my area, so it might be a decent deal if you can find one cheaper. Just do your research!

Honestly, I'd skip on this. While the RX 6600 XT is an upgrade over the 5600 XT, paying $180 seems a bit excessive for that swap. You might want to hold out for a better deal.

Prices vary by region, so check how much others are selling similar cards for in your area. Personally, I wouldn’t pay that much for a 15-30% performance boost. It might be better to save for something with more power.
