Will Keeping a Charger Plugged in Help My Phone’s Charging Port?

I'm trying to extend the lifespan of my phone, especially since my last one died after the charging port broke. If I leave the charger cable in the port without it being plugged into anything, will that help reduce wear and tear? I plan to mostly keep this phone at home.

It's generally a good idea to stop using your phone while it's charging, as that can help extend the life of your port. Just make sure not to overcharge it either if you're keeping it plugged in for a long time.

What do you mean by not using it while it's plugged in?
