Hey folks! I'm a software engineer currently using a Ryzen 5 5600G with 16GB of RAM (though I had some issues with one stick not working). I'm living in Spain and recently I was considering getting an RTX 3050 for my light gaming needs (mostly Minecraft) and some occasional coding, video editing, and 3D software like Blender and DaVinci Resolve. However, I just found out about the newer RTX 5050. The RTX 3050 is priced at 200 euros, while the 5050 costs 260 euros. Given these details, I'm wondering if the 5050 is really worth the extra cash over the 3050. I'd love to hear your opinions! Thanks for your help!

You might want to consider looking for a second-hand RTX 3060 or 3060 Ti instead. They often offer better performance compared to both the 3050 and the 5050, and you may find a good deal!
Yeah, the RTX 5050 is definitely a better option! It offers more performance and will future-proof you a bit more, especially since you dabble in video editing and 3D software. Check out some benchmarks to see how much of a difference there is!
Thanks for the insight! I'll definitely check the benchmarks before I make a decision.
I’ll check into the second-hand market, but I’m a bit nervous about it. Any tips for buying used?!
